A Black Truffle Week:

Ken Hom who is widely regarded as one of the world's greatest authorities on oriental cooking, lives in Cahors. He has developed very close ties with the wonderful people who forage and handle truffles in Dordogne. This week is an immersion in black truffles country, eating at friends home and down to earth local restaurants.

We shall meet the Pebeyre's family ( the fourth generation) who specialize exclusively in the truffle trade. "Working truffles means not only knowing how to choose and buy, but especially how to gain people's trust and loyalty." We shall learn the fascinating story of the "Tuber melanosporum" the only black truffle!

Lodging is in a very comfortable local inn, a private home remodeled with a lot of charm and tradition.
